Exploring College Success at Collegiate

As the spring season ushers in a sense of renewal and possibility, it’s the perfect time to dive into one of the most transformative experiences for high school students: college exploration. At Collegiate, preparing scholars for college success lies at the heart of our mission and we are dedicated to guiding our students in finding the best fit for their higher education journey, equipping them with the tools to flourish beyond the walls of CSM.

College Visits

Each year, Collegiate organizes field trips to various colleges and universities across the tri-state area. These visits provide our high school scholars with early exposure to campus life, allowing them to see themselves as a part of these academic communities. By stepping foot on college campuses, students gain insights into what life as a college student truly looks like. 

Alumni visits

CSM alumni, who are currently enrolled in local colleges, generously share their experiences with our current high school students. Through alumni visits, students get to hear about the transition from high school to college, time management strategies, balancing academics with a social life, and the process of selecting a major. These connections inspire and inform our students as they navigate their own college journeys. 

College Counseling

Navigating the college search process can be daunting, which is why Collegiate offers personalized support to seniors. Alongside a comprehensive senior seminar that helps students in researching colleges, applying for admission, and seeking scholarships, CSM seniors meet one-on-one with our Director of College Guidance. Additionally, post-secondary college, technical school, and military representatives regularly visit high school lunches to share more about their program. These sessions empower students to explore their interests, recognize their strengths, and identify the options that align best with their aspirations and values.  

Our vision is that with this support system, Collegiate students will not only be accepted to college but thrive and graduate. Our goal is to continue the tradition of excellence, with 100% of all Collegiate alumni accepted to college and 80% of all Collegiate alumni pursuing and successfully earning their college degrees. We’re nurturing the seeds of academic achievement and ensuring our students’ futures are filled with boundless opportunities.
